ZStack Ranks in IDC Cloud System Software Market Report TOP5, First Among Independent Cloud Vendors
In June 2024, the global IT market research and consulting firm IDC released the "PRC Cloud System Software Overview and Analysis, 2023." The report shows that in the second half of 2023, the overall market size of China's cloud system software reached 2.996 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.8%, with ZStack ranking in the TOP5 of the cloud system software market. For the entire year of 2023, the overall market size of China's cloud system software was 5.403 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%, with ZStack holding the largest market share among independent cloud vendors.
The cloud system software market, as defined by IDC, is a component of the software-defined computing software market. The software-defined computing software market primarily includes three sub-markets: virtualization software, cloud system software (software that orchestrates and controls abstracted server resources to build cloud infrastructure), and container infrastructure software (including container engines, orchestration systems, and registries). These sub-markets form the software-defined computing platform that supports both traditional and cloud-native applications, making them essential and critical infrastructure software for building cloud computing platforms. IDC defines the cloud system software market size based on the revenue from licenses, subscriptions, and maintenance of cloud system software.
In 2023, China's cloud system software market continued to maintain strong double-digit year-on-year growth. IDC identifies four main driving factors: the demand for heterogeneous computing infrastructure and domestic production; industry digital transformation; new technologies and scenarios based on cloud infrastructure needs, such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and edge computing; and the widespread acceptance of cloud-native infrastructure.
IDC points out that in the cloud system software market, ZStack has gained opportunities among both large and small to medium-sized customers due to its product features and partner ecosystem. Currently, ZStack collaborates with 300 active partners to assist over 3,600 enterprise users in their digital transformation, covering key industries such as government, finance, petroleum, power, telecommunications, transportation, aerospace, healthcare, education, and manufacturing.
ZStack has entered the cloud infrastructure software market with a product-centric approach, launching a self-developed architecture and adhering to a productization path characterized by lightweight deployment and agile delivery. Its product matrix comprehensively covers data center cloud infrastructure, including virtualization, cloud platforms, container cloud platforms, distributed storage, hyper-converged appliances, cloud-native hyper-convergence, multi-cloud management platforms, and database cloud platforms.
In the future, ZStack will continue to uphold the spirit of innovation, pragmatism, and professionalism, continuously promoting the development and application of cloud computing technology, and contributing more to the digital transformation of various industries.
