Monitor

ZStack Cloud Monitor helps to monitor the data center data in real time. No matter when you log in or out of the system, the monitor can continuously display the monitoring information with data refreshed in time.
  • To access the monitor, follow one of the methods:
    • Click the monitor icon at the upper right corner of the UI, and the monitor will be displayed in a new page. You will see the resource state of the data center for all zones/a specific zone, and the visualized information is constantly presented in real time.
      Figure 1. Monitor Icon

    • A user with monitor role of the tenant management will be redirected to monitor page right after logging in to the Cloud.
  • The monitor supports classic theme and technology theme. You can also customize the monitor title and theme from Settings > Theme and Appearance. For more information, see chapter Theme and Appearance.
  • For each ZStack Cloud, only one monitor interface can be opened in the same browser window.

The monitor collects usage statistics on the CPU, memory, disk, and network resource of all hosts of the data center in the selected hypervisor and zone, and provides real-time monitoring on the CPU utilization of all hosts, memory utilization of all hosts, host disk I/O sum, and host network throughput sum respectively.

The monitoring results are displayed in the form of dynamic graphs in real time, and monitoring items are differentiated by colors, which present you the resource utilization and performance status of all current hosts.

    Figure 4. Load Trend

The load trend supports dynamic switching, which means the statistics graphs of all hosts are switched every 15 seconds, and you can also click and switch the graphs manually.

  3. Usage statistics: real-time resource usage statistics of CPU, memory, primary storage, image storage, private network IP, public network IP, GPU, and vGPU. Note that the vCenter hypervisor does not include the GPU and vGPU information.

The monitor collects usage statistics on relevant physical resources of the data center in the selected hypervisor and zone, and provides real-time monitoring on the usage of CPU, memory, primary storage, image storage, private IP, public IP, GPU, vGPU, and others. The resource usages are displayed in real time and indicated by blue, yellow and red progress bars, so that you can easily know the resource utilization at the moment.

    Figure 5. Usage Statistics

    • The monitor pushes usage statistics every 21 seconds. After each push, the increase or decrease of usage can be indicated by the red arrow or blue arrow in the lower right corner respectively.
    • The private IP and public IP support the display switching between IPv4 and IPv6 network addresses. By default, the change occurs every 15 seconds, and you can also click and switch it manually. In case there is only one type of network address, the usage statistics will only show the existing network type by default, and the automatic switching will not be supported.
